As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
-- 1 Peter 4:10

Live your Catholic Faith by volunteering. Give your service, your time, and your talent to our Parish. If you wish to make a rewarding contribution to our Parish and are interested in volunteering as an assistant in our Office or as a Liturgical minister, come see one of our Priests. You can also call or come to the Parish Office and leave your name and contact information, including email address and phone number. We thank you for making a difference!
The Lector serves a unique role in the Liturgy. It is Jesus Himself who speaks in the Scriptures. In proclaiming the Scriptures, the Lector uses voice, presence, and personality so that the Word of God may be heard. Saint Paul reminds us "Faith comes by hearing." The Lector serves the community by proclaiming the Scripture readings for that particular day and by offering the Prayer of the Faithful. One called to be a Lector must be trained in reading and proclaiming the Word clearly and expressively to the people. If your special gift is public speaking and you are a confirmed teen or adult, we invite you to become a Lector. You will receive training.
While every ministry affects our worship, some ways of service are more closely related to the Parish’s Liturgical celebration. One of these ministries is that of the Usher or Greeter. Ushers or Greeters are responsible for the good order in the Liturgical celebrations. They meet and greet the people at the door, direct processions and hand out Sunday Bulletins, and take up the offering of the people. You must be at least 18 years of age.
